Oh my God, I so badly needed to update here. Ok, here I go….

I’ve being away for a while cos I had to do my exams. I had to do contract law, constitutional and company. I had real property, tort and criminal last year and thought that nothing could suck more than criminal but then of course I had to do company. Honestly, its pretty much exactly how you would imagine; boring as hell. I’m usually ok about exams and just glad to have them over but I couldn’t even study company properly because I’d sit down thinking that I was really going to concentrate and get into it but then my mind would wonder onto other more insignificant stuff so without realising I’d be daydreaming for ages instead of studying. I actually couldn’t sleep I was so worried. I was having a worse freaker because I know that if you’re a borderline pass or fail on a subject they look at how many lectures you attended, which was none so that would have been me screwed! I kept thinking of the meltdown that I’d have if I couldn’t answer the questions. They would have had to bring me out in a straightjacket. Seriously, I had it planned. When I eventually got the paper I think everything went really well actually but I’m refusing to be excited or throw out my notes because you never know and I don’t want to jinx myself.

On top of all that exam crap I decided that the end of November would be a real good time to agree to write a tutorial for an upcoming issue in a Polymer clay zine which was less straight forward that you’d imagine actually. The point of being in the zine was to generate more publicity for my shop and it did….in December! When I finally got through my exams and all the other stuff I’d gotten myself into I noticed that it was Christmas. Oh goody, so now I end up doing ALL my Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. I was so distracted that for my pièce de résistance I also left it too late to order the Christmas hamper that my mother wanted from The Harvest Kitchen and yes, she loved that!

I sorta feel like I should upload something fantastic and be all like yea, I was away for a while but look, look what I did!.. I’ve got nothing, nothing at all but I’ll make something soon, I can’t guarantee it will be fantastic though :)

Fellow DA artist,

I have entered a sculpture competition being held by St George's Cathedral in Perth Australia.

Artists are encouraged to push the boundaries of their imagination, to create new ideas and to challenge our preconceptions.

There is a peoples choice award determined by online votes. I would appreciate your vote for my Parallax Cross design. The link is below

Dublin City Council is to introduce a ban on eleven breeds of dog from properties including houses, flats and estates, with immediate effect.

The breeds are: English Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, German Shepherd (Alsatian), Doberman, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Japanese Akita, Bull Mastiff, Japanese Tosa and Bandog. Cross-breeds of these dogs or crosses of these dogs with any other breed are also banned.

Owners will be given the opportunity to rehouse the dogs but if alternative accommodation cannot be found for they will be destroyed.

"Citizens against Dog ban "

please take the time to sign the petition and read ANVIL's website for updates. This is discrimination against council tenants as well as any responsible owner of one of these breeds.
